BOISE - Newer forecast models Tuesday morning snow that although a snowstorm will move into the Treasure Valley Wednesday, snow totals will likely be less than originally predicted.
Meteorologist Jim Duthie says some parts of the Treasure Valley will see an inch of snow, while other areas could get as much as four or six inches. Earlier models had called for up to ten inches, but those numbers were revised as the weather system moved closer.
The first of a series of storms are expected to arrive in the valley late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, which could cause problems for the Wednesday morning commute.
WINTER STORM WATCH: Latest county-by-county alerts
Wintry weather is expected to last through the end of the week, and will likely help push the frigid temperature inversion out.
Mountain areas could see one to two feet of fresh snow over the next few days.
